Meet the Author

     Hmm, what to say about me. Reality is just too depressing, so how about the fabricated version? Yeah, my thoughts exactly.
 
     I live with the man of my dreams in a castle atop a beautiful hill with a gorgeous view. There's a lake just outside the bedroom window and when the sun peaks over the horizon in the morning, it glistens across the waters in a breathtaking swirl of color. Horses of every color graze in the fields and the dogs frolic merrily in the well kept lawn. We enjoy quiet strolls down the stone walkways through the rose gardens. We can spend literally hours playing hide and seek in the hedge maze, and when we finally reunite...well, I'll leave that to the imagination.

    Sounds wonderful doesn't it? Too bad it's just a fantasy. In reality, I'm your average southern gal--the one always over looked in school, unassuming. In fact, anyone who "knows" me is shocked to learn what I write, and I take great pleasure in putting the opened mouth gape on their faces. *devilish grin* But, at least, I really am married to the man of my dreams. And the dogs frolic in the yard, but quite often it's not well kept. lol

     I began writing with publication in mind in mid-2002, submitted my first paranormal (second completed manuscript) to Ellora's Cave in December 2002, and by March 2003 I had my first sale under my belt. I screamed so loud everyone on the hill we lived on heard me and I scared the living daylights out of my mother.  I then ran, quite some distance I might add, to my grandmother's house to share the good news with her, because a phone call simply wouldn't have cut it. And that is where it all began. Life has tossed a few rough patches at me along the way, but I just keep on trucking--mostly in thanks to that aforementioned wonderful hubby of mine. Between my super active imagination, kids and mongrels, the place stays hoppin', but we don't mind. Be on the look out, because who knows what the future holds.

Hunters for Hire

     How did the Hunters for Hire continuity come about? Me and my big mouth, that's how. It all began with, "Since so many of us are interested in Sci-Fi, why don't we..." and it grew from there. Apparently, I have far more ideas than I can ever do anything with, so together with six author friends, we laid the ground work for the Hunters for Hire series, which is an exclusive Ellora's Cave/Cerridwen Press Continuity Sci-Fi series. I used to be a nurse (LPN). I have four kids and two dogs--one rat terrier and one min-pin. I've been married three times--divorced twice. I've lived in the South all my life. I have a thick accent, and I live to write. And that's pretty much me in a nutshell.
